Hello Reader,

I am troubled by something that I hear in conversations with some of you. I even recognise it in my own life.

Medics take something called the Hippocratic oath, which includes the pledge to "First, do no harm."

Here's my dilemma. my newsletter may be harmful for some of my subscribers.

It is not the content that is harmful necessarily, but how this newsletter every week adds to your digital deluge.

A common theme that inhibits us from following our dreams, creating breakthrough solutions, is by finding ourselves time poor, being driven by the multiples demands made upon us. Part of this is driven by email. A source of chronic stress is the sheer volume of emails coming in each day through our inboxes.

This problem will not disappear on its own.

And I may add to it. Great job if you've read this far! Thank you! Nonetheless, you are reading an email, one of many in your inbox, I'm sure.

Until now, this newsletter goes into your inbox every Saturday. When I ask, several of you have told me you are still 'catching up' with reading all that I send you.

I don't want to put you through that. I want no association with your problem, but rather to offer you a solution.

I have a better way. This approach has received positive feedback after sharing with a few people. It promises a more mindful way of helping you.

This newsletter will be sent to you monthly going forward. It will contain links to updated resources.

Between each monthly email you are likely to receive from me time-sensitive emails. And, if you are a new subscriber, you will receive, every thirty days, the next chapter of Becoming a Positive Outlier, something I offer to all new subscribers.

Next month, I will announce a programme I am launching in the New Year about finding the freedom to fulfil, to step into our dreams. I aim to help us all develop better habits along the way of defending our lives around our diaries.

Thank you for your precious time and attention.

Yours appreciatively,

Patrick

P.S. As always, reply to me, if you think I am getting this wrong. I love receiving emails from you. It is part of the conversation.

P.P.S. You can keep up with the Positive Outlier Academy videos in the meantime by subscribing here.

P.P.P.S. Of course, members meet me at the Coffee Hour and to other resources. And your membership is free for the first 30 days. (Thursday's Coffee Hour was brilliant this week!)

Changing the World through Living our Best Lives!

Patrick Mayfield

I am not sure how you found me here, but welcome anyway! I am a writer, coach, change leader, and Christian, helping you and others to live your fullest life, and to change the world in the process! If you are not interested in one of these things, that's OK...what I offer is not for you and you should close this page. However, I am interested in serving that small community of people who are interested in all these things. You are my world changers! If you know me and my work and want more, then please check out the resources I offer below and sign up for my newsletter! We can then begin a conversation where we can explore what my experience has taught me in leading change, both in organisations and in myself(!), in my faith journey with Christ, in my writing, and in my coaching. and how all this can benefit you.

The Shire, nr Oxford UK 4pm-ish Hi Reader, Well, we’re back from our glorious short stay in the Peak District National Park. The picture above is the cottage where we stayed. The countryside was stunning. We went e-biking one day on a wondrous trail through tunnels and across viaducts, and up a cable car another day. Equally memorable were the warm meetings we had with people in the area. In my post a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned a season of more freedom, more choice as to how I use my...
